CELPIP
The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program or CELPIP is a Canadian computer-based English language test which measures all 4 modules of communication, such us Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills of the test taker. This test clearly, accurately, and precisely assesses a test taker’s English abilities in a variety of everyday situations, such as communicating with co-workers and superiors in the workplace, interacting with friends, understanding newscasts, and interpreting and responding to written materials.
CELPIP assesses your ability to use English in everyday situations. It’s not a test of business English or academic English. One of the best ways to prepare is just to get out and use English as much as possible in your daily life.
The CELPIP tests are high-stakes test that helps the candidates to achieve goals in getting permanent Canadian Residency or immigrant status and to enhance the professional skills. It is a system based test that takes around 3hours. A speaking appointment is not required for the test. The CELPIP Test is completely computer-delivered, takes about 3 hours to complete, and is done in one sitting.

The test is divided into 4 components: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Unlike other English proficiency tests, the CELPIP Test does not involve talking to a person for the speaking component. Instead, you will reply to on-screen prompts for the speaking portion of the test.
There are two types of CELPIP test. CELPIP – General Test and CELPIP – General LS Test
CELPIP – General Test
CELPIP General Test Evaluates test taker’s English speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills and is used for permanent residence applications and professional designations.
Single 3-Hour Test Sitting
Takes approximately 3 hours to complete and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session
