The candidates will reply to on-screen prompts for the speaking test.
We will look into the CELPIP Test Format here. The are two types of CELPIP exams.
- CELPIP General Test
- CELPIP LS Test
CELPIP General Test:
CELPIP General Test has four components. They are Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Each test is used to evaluate the candidate’s skill set in the exam. This test is used for personal designation and permanent residence applications by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

- Speaking (15-20 minutes): Reply to on-screen prompts verbally.
The CELPIP General Test is scored from 1 to 12. Each of the four test sections is evaluated independently, and the total score is calculated as the average of the four sections.

The CELPIP LS test evaluates the candidateās Listening and Speaking skills and is officially designated for Canadian Citizenship applications by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and also accepted for professional designations. The CELPIP LS exam time is for one hour.
- Listening (47-55 minutes): Listening to passages and answering questions.
