About PTE Test

PTE Academic evaluates listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills through a computer based exam in a 3 hour test session

For PTE Academic exam completion, however, you should be at a Pearson test center which is safe and secure. You will be using a computer and headset to listen, read and respond to the questions.

During the three-hour test session there will be three main parts to the test: speaking and writing (combined), listening and reading. These questions come in twenty different types ranging from multiple choice questions, essay writing and analyzing given information.

The focus of PTE academic is on authentic academic content. Consequently, lectures, passages and graph charts will be presented in the test. During the test you are expected to deal with a variety of accents like British or American ones that make the setting of the test more close to reality and more comfortable to you.

1. What is the cost of the PTE Academic Test?

The attending fee of the PTE Academic test is around US$ 125 to US$ 160 overall. However, as per Indian currency the cost of the test is Rs.12100.

2. How can I register for PTE Academic?

The PTE Academic test can be registered through online mode. Note that if you are about to take the test for the first time, you have to sign in online for booking an appointment. Also if you didn’t pass the PTE Academic test then, you can register for the exam again with the same account. We at MAKS BELA provide you assistance in registering for the PTE test on your behalf.

3. When and how would I get my PTE Academic test results?

The PTE results will be released on the official PTE website for candidate’s visibility after 3-4 days of the test completion. You will receive an email in the given mail id that your results are out. 

4. How long are the PTE Academic scores valid?

PTE Academic Test scores are valid for 2 years from the date of test given

5. What is the required score for the PTE Academic test?

Minimum score for the PTE exam varies depending on the universities and the international countries you apply for. A minimum score of 51 is demanded in the UK universities for PG and UG courses, whereas a minimum score of 36 is required for diploma courses. 

6. Can I retake the test? If so, then how much?

Yes, you can retake the test an unlimited number of times. Retest can be taken five days after the previous test date.
