IELTS Listening is composed of four parts, each having 10 questions. The test duration is 30 minutes long and each section’s difficulty increases as it continues. You will be given 10 minutes at the end of the listening test to transfer your answers to the answer sheet. The IELTS Listening is the same for the IELTS Academic and General Training tests.

  • Section 1 includes a conversation between 2 people about common situations.
  • Section 2 involves a monologue on the common everyday situation.
  • Section 3 includes conversations among 2, 3, or 4 persons on the educational or training situations.
  • Section 4 involves a monologue on a school subject.
